Homemade burgers

Ingredients

  • 450g/1lb of lean mince
  • 110g/4oz brown breadcrumbs
  • Pinch of mixed fresh herbs - rosemary, thyme and oregano
  • 1/4 of an egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon of plain flour
  • 1 small onion cut finely
  • Salt/pepper to taste

 

 

 

 

Method

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl.

Step 2

Bind with a beaten egg.

Step 3

Shape into 4 round shapes with a little flour.

Step 4

Fry for 10 minutes on each side on a medium heat until well cooked. Place the burger in a toasted crusty burger bun.

Step 5

Serve with a choice of sauces - tomato, relish, wholegrain mustard etc.

Step 6

Add salad, sweet potato and garlic wedges.
